Announcement: New Webforms and Seller API Terms of Service
The Teespring Trust and Safety Team is dedicated to creating the best experience for our sellers and that includes ensuring that you feel your creative work is protected. To provide you with the best experience possible while striving towards this goal, we’re excited to share the following two updates with our community.
1. New Webforms:
In order to make it easier for you to file a complaint and easily distinguish between Intellectual Property and Priority issues, we are going to be launching two separate webforms. The following additions will help sellers to distinguish between Intellectual Property and Priority issues when filing a complaint.
If you have trademarked any or all of the elements of your campaign or if your design features copyrightable content, you always have the ability and the right, under the law, to file a legal claim with us. We take these claims extremely seriously in order to protect your intellectual property. Visit this form to file an Intellectual Property claim.
As a company, we also decided very early on that we would go above and beyond to help our sellers protect their designs that may not be protected under the law. This is why we created our “Priority Policy” - a way for sellers to notify us when they become aware of copies of their campaigns that are being sold on our site. We evaluate these claims and always remove campaigns that are exact copies of a campaign that was launched previously. Visit this form to file a non-legal, priority policy claim.
Lastly, we are also going to be launching a new Counter Notice form. This form will be for those whose campaign was removed as part of an intellectual property claim. If you received notice from us that you work was included in a notice and takedown report and you believe that removal of the content is the result of a mistake (for example, that you have authorization) or misidentification, you can send us a counter notice. Visit this form to file a Counter Notice claim.
We are focused on creating a platform where you can launch your creative work, worry free. We pride ourselves in this commitment - and can already offer protection and enforcement that are absent on other sites. We also work to make sure that sellers who repeatedly violate either our Priority Policy or Intellectual Property laws have their accounts terminated as sellers of this kind do not add to the strength or reputation of our platform.
We appreciate all the feedback we have received and are always striving to make this process the best it can be for our entire community.
We are also launching our API for sellers. The Teespring API is provided to Teespring sellers, partners and approved licensees to access and integrate API Data from the Teespring Site. The API will allow you to automate a lot of your work including marketing and campaign management. Eventually, we want all sellers to be able to create tools to help themselves and other sellers. Though the API will not be accessible to everyone at launch, we aim to celebrate a wide release with our entire community by the end of 2016.
We are excited about this opportunity to make it even easier for our sellers to run their businesses.
